VisitGrenland AS

The Grenland region comprises four municipalities: Skien, Porsgrunn, Bamble, and Siljan. For many years these four municipalities carried out the work of presenting and marketing themselves as tourist attractions single-handedly without any co-operation

In 1998 they agreed with each other that they could achieve better results by joining forces and marketing the geographical region known as Grenland. This decision was manifested in the establishment of the tourism company VisitGrenland AS.

The company's objective is to focus attention on the region's attractions and tourist potential, and to help increase the number of visitors and ensure that all of them experience Grenland in a positive manner.

Grenland is Norway's fifth largest "city" - in the heart of Telemark county's beautiful natural scenery. The unique combination of an urban culture and activities and magnificent scenery is Telemark's biggest selling point. Our mission is to communicate this - to both tourists and those who already live in Grenland.
